This website was set up during the 2007/08 season. The original format was very simple, with just a home page, a page featuring results and and links page. Since then various changes have been made, the format is intentionally "no frills" to keep the site simple to navigate. This website was set up with the following aims:

• To promote non-league football in the West Herts area
• To provide a single point of reference for supporters and enthusiasts of non-league football leagues and clubs based in the West Herts area
• Not to deter people from visting the official websites of local leagues - this website does not currently feature league tables and upcoming fixtures in order to encourage people to visit the official websites of the West Herts League, Herts Senior County League, Spartan South Midlands League and the Southern League
• To publish research of the history of local leagues, clubs and players and to encourage further submissions

This website is created using the service provided by freewebs. Around 20 visitors per day visit this website, many are unique visitors who find their way from search engines such as google - the "player histories" page brings many visitors to the website as the number of league clubs and former professional players mentioned on that page throw up a lot of google hits. The webstats device provided by freewebs shows that while the majority of visitors are based in and around Herts, there are plenty of visitors from around the UK and occasionally from abroad.
